Must Miss TV Series (List Series That Stink So We Won't Waste Time Watching)
Self | July 5, 2014 | PJ-Comix

I enjoy binge watching GOOD TV series. My most recent binge watch was "Mr. Selfridge" which I really enjoyed. I do my binge watching primarily via COUCH TUNER where you can watch most of the TV series of the past few years.

However, I don't like to waste my time on lousy series. Therefore list current or past series that should be on a MUST MISS list. I lead off with the new series "Tyrant." I wasted my time with it since it really STINKS. "Halt And Catch Fire" quickly went down the tubes as well.

I usually watch stuff 7 1/2 years after it is popular..

However I am sorry you dislike Halt and Catch Fire as I am engrossed in the question of whether a new computer can be invented before the whole cast goes nuts. I googled new computer and it seems nothing has been accomplished in the last 36 years. I guess it must be fiction

We stuck with Under the Dome through the first season, and it was obviously going nowhere by the end. Won’t go back.

I tried to give Turn a chance but it was too much of a soap opera.

Punch here and scroll down to the alphabetized list. there's a few shows down there... ;) Sockshare.net runs best but YMMV.

Cartoons? You bet, lots.

About 28 new series were canceled (some pulled after only a few episodes) last season.

About 40 new series flopped during the season that just ended.

Family Guy Canceled

PETER: Everybody, I've got bad news. We've been canceled.

LOIS: Oh no! Peter, how could they do that?

PETER: Well, unfortunately, Lois, there's just no more room on the schedule. We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel; Titus; Undeclared; Action; That 80's Show; Wonderfalls; Fastlane; Andy Richter Controls the Universe; Skin; Girls Club; Cracking Up; The Pitts; Firefly; Get Real; FreakyLinks; Wanda At Large; Costello; The Lone Gunmen; A Minute With Stan Hooper; Normal, Ohio; Pasadena; Harsh Realm; Keen Eddie; The Street; American Embassy; Cedric the Entertainer; The Tick; Louie; and Greg the Bunny.

LOIS: Is there no hope?

PETER: Well, I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes, we might have a shot.

Bring Barbara Eden on the show as one of Larry Hagman’s many ex loves. She will do her evil Jeannie.

LOL! That covers pretty much everything being aired today

:) Yep, pretty much! That's why I cancelled my cable. With my smart tv, I can watch what I want, mainly on Netflix, AmazonPrime or HuluPlus, along with my dvd purchases. About the only thing I watch on network tv is occasionally golf on weekends.

If I feel the need, I watch some older science fiction online. But the only shows I am watching these days are subtitled from Korea. Even then there is about 4 shows at a time.

my brother-in-law has digital cable and 3 of the 4 sets in the house are almost always being used for XBox or something interactive.

Oh, hello!
Been an Outlander fan since the 80s...
Can’t WAIT for the series but am reading MOBY and not digging it all that much. The first four or five novels I thought were superb. The rest...meh.
But HAVE to read them.
Hubs has seen the trailers and even he’s getting interested.
If it isn’t Scottish, it’s CRAP!!!

Oh, too bad..
Yes, that was very rough but the healing Jamie got from his love of Claire was such an antedote to the yuck.
And yes, there’s more homo stuff later on but it kind of pales in light of all the other stuff that happens...
Not for everyone so I get it...

Oh, I didn't download the video player, I know better. But thanks for the warning.

I clicked on several random episode links and all wanted me to download a ''video player'' -- bye-bye CouchTuner.

Too bad it was a nice concept.

I really like Longmire and Hell on Wheels too. If you have not already done so, you might want to check out Copper, it is a BBC production about an Irish policeman in New York during the 1860s. They just released Season 2 and on the whole, it is really good. Similar feel to Hell on Wheels. Plus, Franka Potente.

Justified just blows my mind... because that’s how the crime families in Kentucky really are, as it turns out.

Honest Bourbon-making families -> Prohibition -> dishonest Kentucky families.

I do follow it, though. Gave up on Halt and Catch Fire (went homo) and never watched Tyrant because a fellow FReep advised me it went homo in the pilot!

The Strain looks good.

I saw four episodes of Bletchley Circle. Were there more? I thought it was very good.

Must miss:

Halt and Catch Fire: was okay until Lee Pace made out with another dude. Instant delete.

The Last Ship: more gay agenda, this time with A-Team bad guys who fire from a helicopter onto people on foot and on snowmobile and can’t hit them. I lasted about 20 minutes until the gay ensign told her commanding officer about missing her girlfriend.

Crossbones: I don’t know about agenda, but this was just plain boring. Black Sails is much better, though that, too, is lesbian heavy.

...

On the other side, Breaking Bad and the recent Fargo were great. I watch Falling Skies, but it’s more guilty pleasure than actually good. This season is not terrific so far.

Unfortunately, according to Wikipedia, it has 2 seasons but was not picked up for a third.
