I took Sally over to her friend’s house; she’s going to stay a couple of days, because the friend is moving next week.
Then I ordered cakes for the Missionaries of the Poor on Saturday. I was able to do it by phone from Sam’s, very convenient. We have a schedule conflict, but someone else from the church can take them.
This has been a surprising day for me, but it’s been productive. I got the cassettes, CD-ROMs and a few other things all sorted and place into crates, then hung up my winter gear in the bedroom. I think there are two tubs still outside (one with dress shoes!) that need to be sorted and then I just need to work on the little stuff in here.
It seemed overwhelming when I woke up this morning, but I managed to get through it. Now, I really want to go lie down, but this is the week the Powers want to get the serial numbers off the appliances, and I figure the minute I lie down, they will come. My kitchen looks ugly because I had to take the pans out of the stove and the cookbooks off the fridge. Now everything is either on the counter or the freezer.
And I’m not feeling all that well, either. Maybe tomorrow, I will mostly rest up. Still, it looks a lot better than it did a month ago.
I’m thinking of getting doughnuts and a fruit-melon tray for the guys at Muffler Shop, just in case someone is on a diet. And who isn’t, these days?
