To: Heart of Georgia
The oozing is slightly better, but it's still oozing and still VERY MUCH swollen. The swelling is worse. I'm praying for a cancellation, I'm so worried about his toes.

As for your other question, I'm not sure if they took a culture of it at the urgent care...there was definitely enough puss and crusty material to do so, but I didn't notice if they did. Otherwise, we are waiting on the ID to clear him for the toenail removal.

You’re going to worry, but it can take a while to heal these infections, no matter the cause.

My MIL has been suffering with something that has eaten the flesh of one thigh. It’s been there for seven months now. It was so large at one point that I could put half of my fist down into the cavity, and now it’s about two finger breadths, so it’s healing slowly. We’ve had to take turns with dressing changes several times a day, but that’s what it takes, so you just do it.

Speaking of dressings, it’s been a couple of weeks and I’be wondered if you got the box of supplies I sent and if it contained what you needed.
