Here, cast one for Julie, most definitely. Sultry, sexy, and such a singer! RIP, Julie

I like Julie London's version. She performed it in the movie The Girl Can't Help It, which I have seen in the theater at least nine times--and if they show it in a nearby theater, I'll go and see it again.

For strictly vocals, Julie London, hands down. If she made a recording reading recipes I would listen intently. ;-)
For back-up musicians, Diana Krall.

One of my all time favorite jazz standards, and no one does it better than the original Julie London. I watched Alice Fredenhem’s version on Britain’s Got Talent, but halfway through she completely forgot the words. She has the makings of a very sultry jazz singer but needs to get on top of her nerves.

I don’t think her name can be mentioned in polite company on this web site, but yes, that is spectacular.

LOL I didn’t want to start a riot by the mere mention of her name. But it is a different and very emotional version as opposed to the several cool versions.

Julie London is the BEST! She had it all, sultry, soft, smokey voice, the look, the beauty. She was sexy and so very talented. The song still sends chills through me when I play it on youtube..the arrangement was superb and the sound unforgettable. They don't make em’ that way any more.
