Hmmm. I’ve heard of LibreCAD but not tried it yet. Think I’ll download it this weekend if possible and have a look.

Good. I was against the GPL (General Public License) in Linux for a long time and did prefer NetBSD exclusively as an operating system (and Windows for some jobs in the past).

But I finally figured that if some of the software packages become very common and available with a GPL, why not use some of them to save money in more leisurely computer use (like Web browsing)? Commercial software that is unique enough can still be written with a BSD system and a more business-friendly license like this one.
