The term ‘transgender’ does not indicate sexual reassignment surgery. It’s how they ‘define’ themselves. IOW, if a high school boy ‘feels’ he is really a girl, then he will get to use the girls’ restroom.

And I’m sure some rapist will take advantage of that opportunity sooner or later.
I thought trannies had to have had the surgery to change their sex in order to be official transgendered persons. If not, what a huge cluster* “I can’t come to work today, I have PMS,” he said.
I lived in San Francisco for years, knew many gay people, most of whom were OK neighbors, fellow employees in the workplace, fellow students at a school I went to —a professional school, all adults. Often, I couldn’t tell who was gay.
Had lunch with a woman friend at a nice upscale restaurant. She pointed out “women” at a nearby table who were, she knew, actually men. Yuk. My stomach turned, but I turned away and ignored them. All went well UNTIL we needed to use the LADIES ROOM. And guess who was in there with us. That was horrible, and we were adult women, not easily shocked. I cannot imagine what a dreadful experience that would be for youngsters.
These places can’t put in a third restroom for those who cannot figure out which sex they are?
As for trannies, they have to be among the most screwed up people on the planet. Unconscionable to let them have surgery before they reach both puberty and 21. And unconscionable for Medicare, Medicaid, and Obmacare to pay for it — at the expense of seniors, btw, who have paid into the system for a lifetime and now face reductions in promised services.
I don’t really give a hoot if some guy wants to cut off his plumbing. I do give a hoot if I’m expected to pay for it. And I do give a hoot if he uses the ladies room.
