people always look for big’miracles. sometimes the miracles are small ones. meeting the right person at the right time. being the person something critical hinges on and doing it -’whatever it is - flawlessly. your beloved pet who’s very sick, getting well with your care and prayers and a good vet. a small gift to someone that comes at a really needed moment. a word of encouragement, a card or note or call, that uplifts a person who is going through a rough patch of stuff not going their way. your car continuing to work reliably every day. that we wake up together and have another day together with family and friends. that we all go to sleep together at the end of the day. that we have a normal, non-shtf day with problems other people elsewhere would love to have.
I think you are absolutely correct. Miracles are all around us and through us.
This is true. For years, I’ve looked back on my life & the lives of those near me & I’m filled with wonder & gratefulness at the intricate ways things unfold. As Yogi (Berra) said, Some things are too much of a coincidence to be a coincidence.
I have close, personal knowledge of several miracles. In 2008, Gypsy was diagnosed with epithelial mesothelioma; 2 different biopsies, a private lab (Antech) & Texas A&M. I immediately contacted everyone I knew, asking for prayers. Our good vet at VREC here was on vacation & couldn’t even see her for a month. We didn’t have “months”, according to her diagnosis. She’d had 2 tumors. One was very large & one was small. By the time the vet saw her, the small one had regressed away. When he removed the second, almost 6 weeks later, & the entire mass was sent to the lab, it was benign plasma cytoma. Gypsy was with us another 5 1/2 years.
Here is the “odd” thing. I learned what “happiness” really was during that time & it was pretty surreal because I was so happy. I realized it was because I was grateful. Today (that day), we had so much. Gyps wasn’t sick. She was in danger. She looked & acted perfectly healthy. But all of our Blessings, big & small, came so clearly into focus. It really was an epiphany.
The truest, most precious words in the world are “Be still and know that I AM”.
He Is and He Will. As far as I’m concerned, this is the only thing in this life that you CAN count on.
Yes. This is so true. I witnesses and am a constant recipient of God’s miracles. And He has miraculously saved my life at least twice. I am forever grateful and always humbled by His CONSTANT presence and attentiveness to me in my life. I am truly blessed and do try and pray to always be used for His purpose in any way that He may need to use me as well.
There are no big miracles or small miracles. A miracle involves the intervention of God. Also, there are no big sins or small sins, Sins are all equal.
