I had some teens spend time with me yesterday because their mom was going through a nasty break-up. I'm everybody's emergency baby-sitter.

When they got in my truck, I asked the question: "Is everybody clear on why I live alone?"

The teens certainly saw the lack of drama/stress of my life as a benefit.

I didn’t get married till I was 39.
All my friends were getting married and I was single. All my friends were having kids and I was single. All my friends were getting divorced and I was single. All my friends were getting remarried...well, you get the point.

I’ve been married now for 18 years with three great kids.
You read all the statistics about how half of all marriages last for ever, well, forever is a long time and I’m glad I waited to lock in.
