the context is that both adam and eve made excuses/rationalization for it.
eve blamed the serpent.
adam blamed eve, and indirectly, God.
The real question is not why he disobeyed God, which is a legitimate and important one, but why he did not eat of the tree of life, which was allowed, and which had no consequence of death, but eternal life?
No one has answered this, which was my main point.
That was a lie on Adam’s part. He ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil without being tempted. So that lie was his second sin.
