In anticipation of the World Cup, we sent the magazines contributing illustrator, Christoph Niemann, to Brazil in search of the soul of soccer. What he found instead is a curse that still hangs over the country, decades after the highly favored home team lost in the final game of the 1950 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. In this animated storybook, Niemann meets this curse and befriends him and does his part to unmake that goal that has haunted Brazil for 64 years.

My favorite goal of all time.....
“DENNIS BERGKAMP....DENNIS BERGKAMP....DENNIS BERGKAMP....DENNIS BERGKAMP....DENNIS BERGKAMP....DENNIS BERGKAMP....OOOOOO-OOOOO-OOOOOOOO......”
Victor Moses, top player for Wigan a few years ago with Martinez. Ahmed Musa, born in the hotspot of Jos, Jos was really where a lot of the violence3 that plagues the north started, you don't really hear about Jos that much now. The entire Nigerian Squad. Just to clarify.
Lightning delay...
The heavy rain confined England indoors where they did some work, but without a ball in sight, to deny Hodgson valuable time out on the pitch with his players
England 0 0 Honduras, 81st minute, in the 66th minute, Honduras had a man sent off, 2nd yellow card. I saw England fans complain about Glen Johnson, England defender. Looks like this is going to a draw. Honduras has been yellow carded 5 times vs. 3 for England. Possession overwhelming for England: http://int.soccerway.com/matches/2014/06/07/world/friendlies/england/honduras/1630387/?ICID=HP_MS_01_01
Looks like Altidore is out of his slump, and just in time.
Yes, the second was a cracking score.
It’s interesting, the announcers said USA would play a game behind closed doors vs. Belgium, sounds like they said that before the USA’s first World Cup game.
Yes, Nigeria has been as the announcers say “pretty awful”; they were fairly good for the first 20-25 minutes. Nigeria has had nothing this half.
USA gives up a late penalty and holds on 2-1.
Good to see that Meh-Hee-Co is struggling.
Mexico’s group is interesting. I will say Mexico knows Brazil fairly well, they’ve even gotten some wins over them since 1990. Other teams in that group A. are Cameroon and Croatia.
So, I would tend to think USA has the harder group.
Leave Politics out of it. I wonder if someone created a thread on this.

USA dropped Donovan, Hodgson really should start Barkley, maybe use Rooney from the bench.
