Had one myself, Straight 6’s are great, I love the drone of a BMW I6 and they really pack a punch. They are just like the Boxer’s because you can even up the firing order.
It’s the V6 configuration that sucks. 60degree banks is as close as you can get with a V6 to even firing order.
At a stop light you always feel a little vibration, and something happens to the sound. It’s like sound waves cancelling themselves out in the exhaust system or something.
Why is that a problem in a six and not an eight?
I have a 1997 Infiniti I30 with a really strong V6. Never noticed any vibration problem whatsoever.
