To bad you made up something I’m not doing, if you have 8. update to 8.1.

I don’t care what your favorite OSs are, and I haven’t said anything 8.1 other than plenty of us like it, I do, I went from XP to 8.1 and like it and I don’t care if you do or not.

I do suggest that if you have 8, then update to 8.1, if you have some tweaks you want to make, and don’t know how, then google them.

See, that’s easy, someone determined to not update from 8 to 8.1 while complaining about 8, or someone who complains about “corners” and then clearly doesn’t care to know how to change the setting, has more going on than just a computer issue.

Apparently you don't read responses you are responding to. I specifically said I upgraded from 9.0 to 8.1 and from that point on I have problems and it's not a simple "google the problem to get your answer" situation.

Basically 8.1 is so great not all manufacturers or Microsoft itself hasn't made update to drivers.

Hell, now with 8.1 I get routine graphics card crashes and I lose my browser and it wipes out all my open tabs. I never once had a crash with 8.0.

Now my airplane mode F5 + FN shortcut no longer works and the Lenovo Energy Management no longer works in 8.1.

Also the 8.1 problems have been occurring with no solution since October of 2013 and it is 8 months later with no sign of it being resolved and this is with several phone contacts to Lenovo and posting the problems on message boards and seeing other people experiencing the same problems.

Just because you like the Charms bar or whatever doesn't mean everyone else will. And the "google to get rid of charms bar" is not a complete answer as you still need to re-install a touch pad driver (in my case it is synaptic) and early on it wasn't able to turn off touch swipe an earlier version had that feature but it wasn't compatible with 8.1. Also it doesn't fully disable the charms bar from popping up if you point the cursor to the top right of the screen. Also, I had to utilize further means by settings within Classic Shell to disable the charms bar. This was all not just a simple type in to Google to find the answer. I find your condescending and demeaning tone repulsive.
