I just harvested 7/8ths of my row potato crop. I would have got the last few plants, but it actually started raining.

Ants are becoming a problem with the potatoes in the ground.

I'm pretty sure I'll be doing the compost cage potatoes next year 100%.

When did you plant your potatoes? Something is eating the foliage on my potatoes, but I never see anything on them. Whatever it is, it's not eating my tomato foliage or my asparagus, just the potatoes. I put out sluggo as whatever is eating them must be eating the foliage at night.Sluggo didn't stop whatever is eating them.

I planted my potatoes in late February, IIRC, and last week when I peeked. I saw one red potato the size of a bb. argggh.

I dug up some of my ginger root the other day, and got a hadful of ants..not little black ants. These looked more like fire ants, but they didn't bite me..They had a ginormous ant nursery I disturbed.

We had over an inch of rain today. It looks like it's raining up your way right now.
