I don’t see how it could be H2O, it’s only the left one. Elevation makes no difference. Last 2 times I went to ER and they gave me 2 different antibiotics (at the same time) and a few pain pills. I’ve had gout before and it is not that- this starts in the ankle, gout has ALWAYS started in my big toe 1st then moved upwards.

Leg swelling can occur in any part of the legs, including the feet, ankles, calves and thighs. Leg swelling can result either from fluid buildup (fluid/water retention) or from inflammation in injured or diseased tissues or joints.

Many of the causes of leg swelling, such as an injury or prolonged standing or sitting, are easily identified. Sometimes leg swelling may be a sign of a more serious disorder, such as heart disease or a blood clot.

Seek medical care right away when leg swelling occurs for no apparent reason or you also have difficulty breathing, chest pain or other warning signs of a blood clot in your lungs or a serious heart condition.

if it goes down when elevating your leg it means one thing, if it doesn’t it’s another story altogether...

one is mechanical the other isn’t
