it probably means that a few minutes of the hour is a romantic interlude with jack. Because his women tend to be killed postcoitally. Just a one hour final, not enough time for any coitallying, Jack has a bunch of killin' and squaring things off to fit into an hour as it is :)

I noticed last night when watching on my DVR that the timing on the show clock was three minutes faster than the recording time so far on my DVR. For example, coming back from the 9:30pm commercials, the show said 9:34 while my DVR said it was only 0:31 into the recording.
So there was a missing 3 minutes. Plenty of time for some dallying...
