But his line about “in a year I won’t remember any of the faces in the room” was so wrong. Both my parents have alzheimers and you don’t go from “fairly competent President” to not recognizing people in a year. In fact, after about five years from the start, my dad might not have the power of speech, but he can still do fancy soccer moves and he knows us all, even if he can’t say or maybe remember our names.
Alzheimers is worse because it is so slow.
I think in the first episode it was said that he’d be “symptomatic” in a year. Which is completely different than not recognizing anyones faces.
I’d say that Heller lied to Jack, overplaying the progress of the Alzheimers to get Jack to go along.
