I recall when Ford opened an assembly plant in Pico Rivera in the 1950’s, and I once owned a 1973 Ford LTD that was made there.


Ah, yes, good ole Pico Rivera, where I grew up. I remember the Santa Fe trains with the car chassis stacked high on flat cars leading into the plant. T-Birds built there , too.

My late B-I-L worked for GM building Camaro’s (I think) at the Van Nuys Plant.

That was back when CA was the land of Business Opportunity instead of Political Opportunist’s.
