It sure is Lupita Nyong'o's year to shine!
The first-time Oscar winner was crowned as this year's "Most Beautiful" by People magazine.
The mag announced who was awarded their prestigious honor Wednesday morning.
"It was exciting and just a major, major compliment," Nyong'o said of gracing the cover. "I was happy for all the girls who would see me on (it) and feel a little more seen."
The 31-year-old actress has certainly proved this past year that she is beautiful both inside and out. Lupita Nyong'o arrives at the Oscars on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Nyong'o received a ton of attention for her head-turning red carpet fashion and her incredibly moving speech after taking home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "12 Years a Slave."
The star, who was born in Mexico and brought up in Kenya, told People her early views of beauty were swayed by what she saw on television.

No problem. I have gotten into heated arguments myself with people who believe that 'attractive' means 'pretty' or 'beautiful'.
RE: I think shes beautiful ... not up to Catherine Zeta-Jones in her prime, but better looking than CZJ today, and miles above 40-ish white actresses whose plastic surgery didnt go quite righ
Well, this begs the question, will she look the same when she reaches *THAT* critical age?
She’s already in her 30s, so we’re not going to be comparing her at 45 to her at 19. Her skin is less susceptible to wrinkles and sun damage than a white woman’s.
Ultimately, what she looks like in old age will depend on what’s she’s like inside. An ugly inside starts to show no later than the late 40s, no matter how much makeup and surgery she has.

And you have expressed it beautifully.
She’s Amish!
Well-said, sir, well-said indeed.
Prayers being offered for your wife, and you sir, are a good man.
She has a pretty face, but girls with GI buzzcuts just don’t do it for me.
And her two friends.
Affirmative Action queen?
She is indeed, a very beautiful woman. but, I always laugh at such issues which are intended to sell lots of magazines. I am certain there are many other women in the world who are also just as pretty.
At any rate, congratulations to the winner, a it will help her get more movie roles in the future.
“But to me she is the most beautiful person in the world and will be until they put me in the ground.”

A very lucky lady-—I wish her well.
.
Well, yes, but I told them I really didn't feel like being on the cover. ;-)
“Think white and get serious!”. As Good As It Gets.
Well good for you! :)
That’s the nicest thing I’ve heard said in quite a while.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholderor something like that.
Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.
