Doc Martin is very good. I liked the two stand alones, Doc Martin and Doc Martin and the Clooey (or something like that). I’ve only seen seasons 3-6 though. Waiting for the first 2 and the Christmas special.
Death in Paradise is fun as well.
Was on vacation last week and saw a documentary about the village DM is being filmed in. VERY cool and interesting and fun. The village is an actual working fishing village, and based on the weather, the filming has to occur in the short summer months.
It has now become a tourist haven to watch the filming and to see the actors. It was when I saw this documentary I found that they were planning on doing another year.
Also found out about how British Series work - Very touchy feely, in that if the writers and producers are happy with the product, they keep going. And there's no annual requirement for the series either - they wait until the writers are ready !!
