(snip)
"Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she has now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to," the statement said. "This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases."

I understand that for the next MTV awards show, shell be doing an act she learned in Tijuana, something involving a donkey. That brings back memories. I saw a show like that in Tijuana in 1962. Pretty gross.

That is really cool. I can’t imagine staying twisted like that long enough to get painted, placed and photographed. What if you have an itch :)

The movie stars of yesteryear seem to grow more beautiful in comparison to the weird things that the entertainment industry peddles these days. For instance, Hedy Lamarr was beautiful. The "stars" of today don't hold a candle to this kind of beauty. Smart engineer too. Hedy Lamarr also held the patent for spread-spectrum transmission:
Hedy Lamarr (/ˈhɛdi/; 9 November 1914 19 January 2000)[1] was an Austrian actress and inventor.[2] Her most significant technological contribution was her co-invention, together with composer George Antheil, of an early technique for spread spectrum communications and frequency hopping,[3] which paved the way for today's wireless communications[4][5] and which, upon its invention in 1941, was deemed so vital to national defense that government officials would not allow publication of its details.[6]

Since MOST sinus infections are NOT caused by bacteria why was she being given antibiotics in the first place. This determination would need to be done in a lab and I doubt she was willing to wait for the results or to have a scope stuck up her nose.
I think this is her version of checking in because of exhaustion....read it as rehab

My wife is in the medical field 14 years now. She says Cephalexin is prescribed for upper respiratory infection and how could the doctors know she has to stay in the hospital for 27 days. The misses thinks the whole story sounds fishy.

Wasn’t picking on you, just thought that was probably what you meant, given it sticks in the mind, what with the Cipro shortage and hysteria following all those ‘powder’ scares.

I doubt it's an allergic reaction, but Cephalexin can have pretty nasty side-effects because it can work too well. I kills all the germs, even the good ones, and that can lead to pretty bad secondary infections My wife has been on it full time 500mg a day for well over 10 years. She had to have a bladder bypass done and it keeps out infection. ER Doctors and nurses freak. Urologist told her if they have questions or issues about it tell them to call me.
