There is a nice riding mower here that garage guy told me I’m welcome to use, but it will be awhile before I need to mow-what grass there is all is native varieties, and not very tall.

I’m more partial to a regular mower and weed eater, though-there is a long slope to the river-maybe 200 feet-getting more stony and rough as it goes down-I have visions of myself riding along, not paying attention and heading down the slope, picking up speed, unable to stop as I bounce down the stone path, over the rocky bank and crash into the cold water...

Yeah, you need to stay on your toes. If you want to keep your toes.

I can only do a portion of my yard with the rider. The rest is too hilly to try to do. Can’t even get the rider up onto my side yard. It ends up spinning wheels and going nowhere.
