Rangers F Marty St. Louis rips a shot past Flyers G Ray Emery to score the opening goal in Game 2 vs Philadelphia at Madison Square Garden.
At the 1st Intermission, the score stands 2-1 in favor of New York, with the Blue Shirts ahead in the Series One game to none.
Flyers rookie F Akeson stuffs home a rebound for the tying goal, then late in Period 2 Luke Schenn scores a third unanswered tally,
as Philadelphia takes a 3-2 lead into the second Intermission of Game Two vs the NY Rangers at MSG.
Seems like there are a lot of people watching hockey all of a sudden.
Simmonds puts it away with the empty net goal and the traffic cone orange team wins. I was hoping for the Rags to tie it but it was not to be. Series tied. On to Boston vs the Red Wings.
Rangers G Henrik Lundqvist corrals a close-in attempt by the Flyers F Simmonds in the 3rd Period of Game Two,
but New York cannot provide further goal support as an open-netter clinches the game for Philadelphia, 4-2 to level the Series.
Wings are gonna have to play a ton better than they did today or this series will be over in 5.
I’m happy to get out of Boston with one win. The Bs turned it on early and got rough. Wings gotta control the puck and play on Bs’ ice. Wings had a winning regular season against them. We need the Zman back!
And that's a good thing!

Crosby is gonna have to score at some point hopefully game three will be better.
Oy Oy Oy Oy Oy. My homeboys got slaughtered tonight. This playoffs I’m rooting for the Avalanche, but I live in Kingstown and that was pretty sad.
Tonight will be the most important game of their series, IMHO.
darn! I forgot the link for the Sharks/Kings post game recap!
That’s what happens when you post at 1 AM.

Tonight is a big test for the Jackets, too. Will they be flat after their big win on the road? Veteran teams aren’t but young inexperienced teams can be. The Pens will play with a sense of urgency.
NHL hockey is WAAAAY better than the NBA. People are fond of saying that hockey is great to watch in person but does not televise well. That’s BS. With modern camera technique, HD quality and large screen television, that canard is no longer valid.
During the 1970s and 1980s, when I was watching hockey more, the images were usually fuzzy and the cameras had a hard time following the puck - a lot of herky-jerky camera movements that made you dizzy after a while.
G Sergei Bobrovsky foils F James Neal with the left pad to keep the Pens scoreless after one Period in Game 2,
as two early goals by the Blue Jackets give them a 2-0 lead over Pittsburgh at the intermission in Columbus.
The Pens' Brooks Orpik fires a wrist shot from the slot past Columbus' G Bobrovsky with less than 2 seconds remaining in Period 2
to narrow the Blue Jackets margin to 2-1 over Pittsburgh going into the 3rd Period. The First Round series is deadlocked at a game apiece.
