At first I thought it was legit, but then I woke up when I found out karaoke disco performer Madonna - who rarely writes and records her own music BTW - was in it and Stevie Ray Vaughn was not nor were the Stray Cats who are about as Rock and Roll as it gets. Then I looked at past inductees, and wadda ya know, those bands/performers who actively and regularly promoted leftist agendas and causes were in. Those who didn't were not. Someone like Ted Nugent, never in a million years will he get in, but they'll induct someone like Lady GaGa at the drop of a hat. Oh yes, and disco singer Donna Summer is in. Why? Because she had a big gay male audience in the 70s so naturally that qualifies as "Rock and roll"
I had the privileged of seeing Stray Cats at the Grand ol’ Opry in 83 at the height of their success.
The bassist was slamming Jack Daniels on stage to the point he was about falling down 2 songs in. Setzer managed to cover his lines while playing his own and still entertaining the hell out of the crowd. My respect for that guy is immense.
