I didn't see anything in your link about cutting back on donations - just something about eliminating chicken that've been heavily dosed with anti-biotics and cutting back on corn-syrup in the soda, and the fact that the controversy created a friendship between Dan Cathy and some gay spokesman. Here's the latest quote I can find from Dan Cathy - it was made about a month ago:

"“I think the time of truths and principles are captured and codified in God’s word and I’m just personally committed to that,” he said. “I know others feel very different from that and I respect their opinion and I hope that they would be respectful of mine.”

I don't see any reversal in position or any real issue here. And they continue to make good fast food.

If I have to ask you a question it would be this, why did Dan Cathy or Chick-Fil-A feel to need to temper their donations to groups opposed to same sex marriage? It should be a simple answer... they caved!
