When other kids were eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I was eating peanut butter and sweet pickles (mom’s home made); I haven’t really found any commercial sweet pickles as good a mom’s to recreate that sandwich.

I also ate miracle whip and pickle relish sandwiches; no meat or cheese, just miracle whip and pickle relish on bread.

There is one type of sweet pickle that all the “Grandma’s” around here made (including my own). I know how to make them but it requires a tremendous amount of work...so I don’t. Those pickles, on a ham sandwich were a staple of my childhood.

Like you, I could not find anything commercially that would “work”...until two week ago. I proceeded to eat ham sandwiches for three straight days...LOL! Here you go (I hope these are similar to what you are looking for):

PS: My local store only had the kind that had some cauliflower and other things in it...but the cucumber pickles still tasted the same. I see that online they have a cucumber only version...now I will be searching for those!
