“Prophecy has it’s place.”

But only to know that certain major, clear, and well-explained events, esp the return of Jesus as Conquering King, will occur at some unknown point. We know believers will be in Heaven for eternity in the end, and non-believers will not. This is a good thing for all people to know, because we all must make a decision on this side of the grave. Prophecy is a good thing here.
But when guys like Hagee yield to temptation to interpret very subjective Bible passages and predict specific outcomes, he only holds himself up to ridicule, and makes the unbelievers point at God and mock with hardened hearts.
I happen to agree. I don't see that he said anything that folks ought to get all upset and disturbed about.
Most level headed folks, believers and non alike will shrug and move on. If events unfold that are to be paid attention to, they'll look back and think, “hey, maybe the guy was on to something” or “ that fella was full of dung”.
What is it specifically that he said that's got’cha riled up? I read the article and didn't see anything that would lead anyone astray or away.
