Quinn and Rose are off the air, (temporarily, I hope!) Gone, but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!
Good morning FRiends!
Snap!
Good morning GRANNY!
The baby is beautiful!!!!!
How is everyone doing?
Exhuasted yet?
Name?
Mornin’ Everybuddy!
Good morning n’@ Grammie:)
She is beautiful!!!
P6, thought of you on Friday...I was off Daughter worked on her laptop from my house& I watched grandbaby (20 months old). She brought along her copy of Frozen...she knows a LOT of words like “again” then picks up the DVD case and says “again” (many many more times). I cannot get “Let it go” out of my brain...
By the way, since I hadn’t seen her since Christmas time, we “bonded” over “chockit” (tiny Hershey bars). Bribery...but it worked :)
LOL!!
Morning!
Baby’s name is Eleanor - middle name Ann. She’s a peach! She doesn’t get her looks from me, that’s for sure. DIL looked exhausted. Well, baby was eight and a half pounds and DIL is petite. Son is a natural daddy. I guess that ‘daddy’ reflex kicks in immediately! It was fun watching him get her changed and complain how the nurse wasn’t doing it right! LOLOL!!
Mr S is staying home and sleeping in. It’s been an exhausting couple of days for him. Back to work for me. Got to start braggin’ on that grandbaby like the other grandparents in my office! :-)) I am happy to join the ranks of the rest of you proud grandparents!
Meanwhile, what have I missed in the world? No Fox News at the hospital I’m afraid, and I didn’t have time to get on my tablet.
LIttle over a month until Quinn & Rose non-compete!
Morning AM!
Morning back atcha Mimi!!
MORNING! How is weather in your part of the world? We have very windy conditions this morning (had to take my JollyRoger flag down as well as my Easter wreath).
April showers, cold and cloudy....
beautiful name!
I feel for your DIL I had that same situation (husband going back to work) and “on my own” til weekends. (My mom passed away she I was a teen, and my MIL was widowed for a lot of years so she was workingfulltime). It’s exhausting, but she’s young and newborns DO asleep a lot (but on their own schedule). If I could offer any advice, it truly is SLEEP WHEN THE BABY SLEEPS. Nothing is as important as rest and regaining your strength!!!
And if you see me on Twitter that validates my “Bossy” handle:)
Same here AM. Just let the dog out. Sort of warm, but extremely overcast and a lot of wind. All things are happening just as they should - April Showers, as you said!
Hahaha! Seems like EVERY kid has at least one copy of Frozen and carries it around!
We had two grand kids on Sunday. I was indocrinating them with Harry Nilsson and The Point animation from the late ‘60’s.
Oblio the kid with no point on his head...his dog Arrow...me and my Arrow...
At first they were put off but later they couldn’t stop watching and singing along.
They took the DVD home with them. Last I heard the boy was drawing pictures of people with pointed heads for his kindergarten class...
I’ll pass that along - been a LOONGGG time for me! Heck, I changed her diaper yesterday and was lucky it didn’t fall off! Son did better than me!
Are you going back to the hospital or will they be coming home?
Mom and baby will be coming home today. Then, they will be coming back to Indiana for the jobs fair on Thursday so we’ll see them then. I hope son lines up another job soon. They already have an apartment near us. They will be moving at the end of the month.
You are a trendsetter!
Great that you got him thinking something new that is actually “old school.” I kinda remember “The Point.” Several years back I actually USED YouTube for “educational purposes.” I found SchoolHouse Rock videos and my younger three boys WATCHED them. I can still remember “ConjunctionJunction What’s Your Function?”
It’s amazing how tiny they are:) And Velcro!!! So much better than tape. I remember having to roll the diapers down (for belly button care) and now they have the cut out instead<- genius!
My now 20 yr/old was 10 lbs at birth...no roll down of diaper needed for him. NBs looked like speedos on him. He’s 6’5 now.
What a beautiful baby! Congrats again, grandma.
