the bridal shower i hosted this weekend went off beautifully, a gorgeous day all the way around. the bride was very appreciative and her friends were nice girls. they stayed 3.5 hours, i was EXHAUSTED by 5pm! Then because xsteen’s future in-laws were in town, we had invited them over for dessert and coffee on Sat PM, and they didn’t get there until 10 pm! they went out with xsteen and xsfiance to the Occidental, which is where the rehearsal dinner will be [we begged off]. Then yesterday they went to church with us, and we all went out for brunch afterwards. I went first thing on Sat AM to the bakery where the kids have decided on for the wedding cake, and got a small one for his parents to try, so they could preview the wedding cake. We had picked up the invitations and the bridesmaid dresses last week, so we were able to have his mom see everything we have done so far, so it was a wonderful weekend, but man alive, i am soooooo tired still.
