The very first sentence on the Pale Moon website reads: "Pale Moon is an Open Source, Firefox-based web browser for Microsoft Windows, focusing on efficiency and ease of use. Make sure to get the most out of your browser!

The very first sentence on the Pale Moon website reads: "Pale Moon is an Open Source, Firefox-based web browser for Microsoft Windows, focusing on efficiency and ease of use. Make sure to get the most out of your browser! The blessing and curse of open source is the fact that a "new" application can be based on the source of another. I don't especially like Ubuntu's desktop or the fact that it has Amazon ads so I use Linux Mint Debian which has none of the negatives but is based on Ubuntu.
Seems like the best we can do is avoid the Google search and advertisement tie-ins and the brand names Mozilla and Firefox.
