Because they earn revenue from that “free product” everytime you visit Google, Yahoo, Bing....etc. If you change browsers youre already taking money from them.

was or was not the firing/forced resignation of the Mozilla CEO a form of a “boycott” as it was a cave-in to threats of a boycott by Mozilla employees and a major web site that said their site would no longer support browsing by Firefox??? it was

so, switching out of Firefox is more like boycotting the boycotters than a boycott itself.
