Long before our modern breed of “gays” came prancing and flaming on the scene, Christendom dropped the ball on normal sexual purity. Divorce statistics bear this out, if I understand them correctly.
This made room for worse abuses which became obvious. Most swingers didn’t flame. These sad souls do.
Some might be saved. But Christendom needs to get back to its fundamental knitting. If there ever was a time for it to be a self righteousness club, that time is gone. The mask is off. Salvation by grace gift accepted by faith is all that makes sense to save a church that knows it is looking ugly and can’t save itself. What was obvious to Martin Luther is now obvious to everybody.
I believe the church failed concerning divorce and out-of-wedlock births. A little late to be championing the sanctity of marriage.
