I’m right there with you. I did get a new computer though but we installed Windows 7 which I do like.

Still have my other computer with XP but it is not connected to the internet. I have some specialized software on the old computer I have used since the 1990’s for my business clients and it won’t run on Windows 7. Upgrading the other software isn’t a possibility because not only does it work just fine, but some of the companies that made it are no longer in business.

If you get a puter with windows 7 pro you can run XP in it and use all your old programs in XP mode.

It’s funny, I remember when XP came out and people here (and elsewhere) said that it sucked, that it was too intrusive (dumping data to microsoft) etc, and that they would NEVER switch from Win98/2.
