If the entire Western US was buried in ash the Gia worshiping, greenie government would make it a national park and tell us we could not replant it so they could study how nature recovers on its own. That is what they did after Mt. St. Helens blew.

If the entire Western US was buried in ash ... I think it's more likely that the Midwest and eastern U.S. would catch the most ash. The jet stream moves the air west-to-east. The west coast could actually end up without much damage.
