Well Sergeant it turns out twas my fault - another “zipper down” moment for me and they seem to be increasing in number lately. It’s one thing to put your user name in the password slot once but to do it several times in three days???? To be in the safe side I’m sending some dog-food to the webmaster. I’ve been hoarding it for myself lately.

At least I still was able to cogitate on all posts filled with wisdom when I couldn’t post….there were a couple to be sure….and dogs that don’t bark are the most dangerous.

Tire: Goodyear Eagle Speedway Radials:

Set limits:
Sprint Cup: 5 sets for practice/qualifying and 11 sets for the race;
Nationwide: 7 sets for the event

Tire Codes: Left-side — D-4392; Right-side — D-4618

Tire Circumference: Left-side — 87.4 in. (2,220 mm); Right-side — 88.5 in. (2,247 mm)

Technical Inspection Inflation:
Left Front — 30 psi; Left Rear — 30 psi
Right Front — 50 psi; Right Rear — 47 psi

Minimum Recommended Inflation:
Left Front — 23 psi; Left Rear — 21 psi;
Right Front — 51 psi; Right Rear — 47 psi

Notes: Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same Goodyear tire codes at Texas this weekend . . . this is the first time teams will run this right-side tire code (D-4618) . . . this right-side tire employs Goodyear’s multi-zone tread technology, which combines two distinct tread compounds on the same tire . . . the outside 10 inches of the tread features a compound that is designed for grip, while the inside two inches of the tread is toughened to enhance durability on the part of the tire sees the most heat and takes the most abuse . . . these teams have run this left-side tire code (D-4392) at Texas since 2011 . . . this left-side code was also run by these teams at Chicagoland, Darlington and Homestead in 2013 . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Texas . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.(Goodyear PR),
