I don’t care how “good” they make ours look. I’m not going to find any level of abuse and corruption by police acceptable. Maybe you do, after all, you’ve admitted that it has never actually affected you. The rest of us are not so lucky, and have every right to demand accountability and professional conduct on the part of our public servants.

Yes, up to my standards, indeed. I’m the taxpayer, so I’m their boss. I will make no apologies for demanding that the police I pay for not engage in criminal conduct that they would happily imprison you or I for engaging in.
