1. ARAMCO was hiring Pakistanis. I knew two of them. One was a chemist and one worked in the commissary. I dealt with the latter a lot. His name was Haneef. He was a nice guy and I had to deal with him a lot. He also never shaved and that annoyed me. Men should shave every day if they are going to deal with the public. I finally asked him one day: "How come you don't shave every day?" He didn't say anthing.
The very next day he shaved and shaved EVERY day from then on. NO ONE had ever noticed or cared before since he wasn't at home in Pakistan. He REALLY missed his wife.
2. Malaysians? My, they MUST work dirt cheap. Things must be REALLY horrible at home for them. They have my pity.
3. South Africans and Australians have replaced Americans in most places? Well good for them!
BOTH groups are white and Christian, people of the Book. I'm sure they can use the money.
4. Saudis WERE driving taxis when I was there. Saudis didn't consider MOST work "honorable." That's why it was so hard to get them to work. HOWEVER, for some reason, they considered DRIVING "honorable" and were driving taxis all the time I was there.
Along the freeways the government used to LEAVE the horrible head-on collisions right there off the road so the folks driving by could LOOK and SEE THE the dangers of excessive speed and not enough sleep/attention.
The reason they had to hire Aussies and South Africans was because a lot of Americans left because of the cheering that those SOBS did when the towers fell.
