Well, I guess I do “mis understand”.
I am RC, the altar is not a place to screw around.
Must be a secular deal with Christians that I am simply unaware of no offense intended.
We go to Mass to worship, all of the socializing is done when Mass is over.
Then..you can expect anything! But most folks just scoot to get out of the Parking Lot!

No, no "secular deal with Christians" is going on--just folks who are too self absorbed and anxious to chatter to think about others.

Yes we do. And all socializing SHOULD be done when Mass is over.
MOST folks do scoot but not all. I don't.
I always stay for the recitation of the rosary, done by a group of us old ladies. THEN I do the Stations of the Cross. THEN I'm done.
There is no recitation of the Rosary on Sundays, since the next Mass is imminent. So, I don't do the Stations on Sundays either.
I do think that the Catholics are the only faith group that has DAILY and MULTIPLE services.
*Catholics have daily Mass, usually at more than one time of the morning or evening.
*Protestants have their Sunday service.
*Muslims have no official prayer service but do go to the local mosque to pray five times a day. If the mosque is closed or something, they pray at home.
Women can go to the mosque. If they DO go to the mosque they pray up in what WE would call the "choir loft." Women usually pray at home.
*Jews: Sabbath or a sabbath is generally a weekly day of rest or time of worship. It is observed differently in Abrahamic religions and informs a similar occasion in several other practices.
*Hindus do NOT have a "sabbath" but worship some 330 million different gods, goddesses, animals, objects, etc. They have festivals honoring specific gods.
States, areas, cities, towns, villages always have their own favorite deities so, in reality there are festivals to the gods going on all the time all over the Hindu world.
Hindus run into a conundrum when they immigrate to the West. Their temples are few and far between. It's almost impossible to be a good Hindu outside of India.

From Google:
World population - 6.9 billion people
Christians - 33.32 percent of world population
Catholics - 17 percent
Orthodox - 3.53 percent
Anglicans - 1.25 percent
Protestants - 5.78 percent
Muslims - 21 percent
Jews - 0.23 percent
So more than half the world is Judeo-Christian (Jew, Christian, Muslim).
A third of the world is Christian. More than half the Christians are Catholic Church, including or excluding the small number of Orthodox (state run Catholic Churches).
All of the Protestant denominations add up to about 7 percent of world population.

Google is, of course, NOT the ultimate answer and/or truth but it was interesting to see what numbers they did come up with.
