When atheist director and co-writer Darren Aronofsky promised that his epic "Noah" would be "the least biblical film ever made," that was not hyperbole. "Noah" is a brilliant, compelling, beautifully-mounted, beautifully-acted piece of storytelling conceived for the sinister purpose of leading people to believe that Christianity and Judaism are something they are not.
And I ask you, could anything make Satan happier than something that leads people to believe they are saved when they are not?
I have absolutely no problem with a filmmaker taking a biblical story and adding or subtracting from it as a way to craft a compelling film. There are all kinds of plot points in Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 masterpiece "The Ten Commandments" that you won't find in the Bible.
Furthermore, Ben-Hur is a fictional character. Somewhere around 99% of "Barabbas" (1961) is made up. The "Robe" (1953) is as phony as "Barabbas." I love all of these movies. I'm no purist. If you want to use the Bible or Christ as a jumping off point to make something up, knock yourself out.
Even Aronofsky does this. In the source material -- aka the Bible -- Noah's sons all have wives On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
For dramatic purposes, Aronofsky alters this. The three boys do not have wives and this fact helps drive the story.

figures
135 million will be made and then some. Why do they need you when they have already made 15 million opening day. Plus they will sell hundreds of millions overseas. They could care less if you watch it.
That was sarcasm right
Many want to think of themselves as 'spiritual' without having to do the things Christianity demands of them. And they want to ascribe things to Christianity that simply are not.
Barnum was right.
I just think conservatives are stupid sometimes.
Just shut up about the damn movie and it will tank. The conservatives have given this movie so much exposure that it almost seems like they want people’s interest up so they will see it. I am not seeing it because I can’t stand Russell Crowe and it seems like a bore.

Wrong. Beck saw the movie.
Wrong. Beck saw the movie.
After he was called on it and had his face turn red. He zipped right over and saw it and said he was wrong about the complaint but still didn’t like the movie but said his explanations before seeing the movie were wrong.
But you said Beck didn’t see the movie. So you were wrong.

Biblical, yes; Christian, no. This (Noah) was in the Old Testament of the Bible; Christianity didn't come into play until the New Testament. So, the title should have read, "anti-Biblical".
Sorry - my post was meant for Sivad.
HA! that’ll be a Short story!
That's all the recommendation I need not to see this movie. I'll go see God is Not Dead. Now that's a worthwhile movie, I've heard!
Two thumbs up on the info! Counters those that spew nonsense with any facts to back them up...again!
Be careful now ... I’ve got to warn you ... if you say anything about it, you’re helping that atheist promote his film ... :-) ...
LOLOL! Well, I guess that's one theory....a strange one but, a theory nonetheless.
Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
The men of renown are the product of the cohabitation of fallen angel and humans. The Nephalim had infected the blood line which Christ was to come, in all the earth except for Noah and his three sons. There are other names for these products of man and angel talked about in Deuteronomy when the second eruption happened. Numbers 13 talks about Caleb encouraging his people to take the land where "great men of stature" reside and who eat up the inhabitants of the land.
This is why God commanded them to kill all inhabitants of the land, the women, children, animals they were all corrupted and had to be killed off. What an awesome scary movie it could have been 9-17' freaks eating people. There are skeleton's out there that have been found, but are being hidden from the public.
