The science of what is causing wobbles in Uranus’s orbit has never been solved, for years some have been saying there is an unseen gas giant that has to accounts for these wobbles, dwarf planets and Oort Cloud Objects are just too small for this.

tiny quibble, the wobble was seen in Neptune; there are those who believe that a short series of observations more than a century old should just be thrown out. IMHO they probably indicate an undiscovered body moving in retrograde or more or less perpendicular to the ecliptic.

Yes thats true. Planet X was what it was referred to a year when I was young. This little 2012 VP113 isn’t big enough to account for the perturbation thats being observed I don’t think. Which is probably why this article refers to the still unknown larger planet.

This is exciting stuff.
