I’m done with flying-—if I can’t drive there, i don’t go there!
Thank goodness all of our kids and grandkids are now living within an easy drive for us.
I feel the same way as you do about flying. It was never very high up on my list of things I liked to do but even so I have seen a fair portion of the world. I think I am done with it.
A couple of my grandkids have to travel 10,000 miles each year to visit the other side of the family.
Drives me nuts,but that’s the way it is.

If I cant get their with EL AL I don’t bother flying..went last year to Israel, best airline in the world..top notch..but was still terrified in the air, couldn’t wait to be on ground(Yeah let’s basically say Im NOT a good flyer) I prefer to be on solid ground.
I still trust an airline pilot more than I trust all the lunatics and incompetents driving cars.
As for the statistics, you are 180 times more likely to die in a car crash than a plane crash.
And I will bet my life on that statistic.
If I cannot go armed I do not go.
