... we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate ...What on earth does this mean? One hears all the time that divorcing people "love each other" or "are best friends." What does it mean?

I’m sure there’s an element of truth in that for many divorced people.
OOPS, silly me, I mean consciously uncoupled co-parents! There I go being all non-progressive again.

I’ve had several “uncouplings” and have no desire to be friends with any of them. There was a reason we “uncoupled”.
