My point was not their separation but the use of the term consciously uncouple. I bet we'll be hearing more of this pretentiousness in the future, as marriage deteriorates even further and more and more "couples" of all gender combinations have children -- because "consciously uncouple" sounds so much more progressive to them than "split up", no doubt.
