Good, profound post. Its a fundamental truth. Passing laws and even throwing tons of money at problems are often just feel good measures that in reality accomplish little, if anything.

All that searching around in the vastness of the southern Indian ocean is pure Barbra Streisand to distract the low information types. That A/C is somewhere up north, the government/governments know it and are using the time to set up assault teams to go get it. We are dealing with complex international diplomatic problems here. There are two separate areas of investigation for the arm chair detective.
Who was behind the plot?
Where did the plane go?
Could be two unrelated things..such as
UFO in air space due Iran Hijacking it..that is what the plane would be at that point...
And what State shot it down and now is trying to cover it up...
One plausible scenario for what happened to the plane and why some areas are not being searched by people who have the capability to find it (such as the US)
