The mother indicated her willingness to sign in. The school administration, despite *buzzing her in*, called and reported her for trespassing.
Even if she talked to/interacted with the police disrespectfully, she did not “cause her own arrest”. They *chose* to arrest her.
And yes, the person commenting does know way too much-—either they have so little to do in their own lives that they seek out gossip, or they are a nosy school employee who has nothing better to do on the taxpayer’s time than to seek out and air other people’s dirty laundry (if true).
Walking past the office, going to the classroom and telling someone to bring the sign-in sheet - is not willingness to sign in.
The “buzzing in” has to happen with everyone - even those who will not be allowed past the office. You’re being buzzed in NOT for free access to the school, but you are being buzzed in to go to the office to “get the clearance” to go past the office.
I’ve seen stupid people interact with the police and they DO get themselves arrested. I’ve been around many such instances when another person would have walked away from a police encounter - and a “real stupid person” gets arrested. Usually I’m saying to myself ... “He’s going to get arrested!” And he does ... :-) ...
And no ... they don’t know too much, because certain types of people are mouthy and draw a lot of attention to themselves - and quickly get to be known by others around them.
