At Planck time there is no way the command “Light Be’ can manifest. If one calculates far enough ‘down’ they reach a point/moment when time is space and space is time, kind of like walking to the North pole and then keep walking and you will be headed toward the south pole. Therefore a period of inflation (the differentiating of dimension space and dimension time) created the spacetime where radiation can happen and underlies everything (the zero point field). Then The Creator spoke matter and thus worlds into existence.
Psalm 104
1Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
2Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

RIGHT. Please see post 63.
I'm not smart enough to debate the C-decay relevant to astronomical measurements. I'll take your word for it based on your knowledge of science (which is likely more than mine). However, IF there are any dents to be had, then I encourage you to consider my postulation in post #52.
It is important to note, that if the true constant regarding the laws of physics in the universe is that it is exactly uniform and consistent throughout, but variable over time, then what we see and study in space is a mere snapshot of what Laws are today regardless of how long light has been traveling. Indeed, what we observe is the basis of the Laws that we have accepted. We've only been observing space for a few thousand years. To us, Laws of Physics would seem eternal and constant. This might suggest that the very light we see, that is billions of years old, has changed with the evolution of accepted Laws of Physics. Even subtle changes over billions of years could dramatically affect theories regarding the origins of our universe. Note that quantum physics is already theorizing that at some level, our accepted Laws of Physics do not govern (multidimensional particles for instance). Disclaimer: I am an engineer, not a physicist. I learn, enjoy and follow science (physics) but cannot claim to "study" it. My reasoning is logic based on what I think I know. The ideas and theories fascinate me. I do believe God put the whole show in action and the details are simply "the how".
My firt thought when I clicked too
“If the speed of light (C) were higher in the past, the energy (E) or mass (M) of distant stars would be likewise effected, and we could clearly see that they were operating under different physics. They aren’t. “
Or are they? We assume that the doppler shift is due to motion, based on our understanding of light. What if it isn’t? What if the energy from those stars is different due to the changing speed of light?
Interesting consideration, except I believe we are able to observe the Dopler affect on light through other verifiable science and experiments. I recall experiments with prisms and solar eclipses or something. ;o)
That said, I would not rule out the premise of observable light being misinterpreted. It would set science as we know it on its head. It would be like Galileo and/or Einstein scientific revolution and controversy. BLASPHEMY! ... and all that.
I’ve wondered the same, that time may have a non-linear quality. Perhaps inflation is related to this quality?
The first command, 'Light Be' is the result of spacetime having linear and planar and volumetric reality such that wave function can occur. The collapse of the wave function is the effect of 'selection' of a linear expression of the temporal nature of the wave form.
Gods glory is shown when He conceals things; a kings glory is shown in his ability to explore the facts of the matter.
Prov 25:2
Agreed. Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity predicted both black holes and a single white hole, at the very beginning of the universe. A white hole would be relativistic and move much faster than the speed of light, in the exact opposite direction of a black hole, expanding instead of contracting.
Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
Psa 104:2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
From the earth it would appear that the heavens were being stretched out like a curtain they were moving so fast. That’s how 6000 years could elapse on earth, while apparently billions of years could elapse via these relativistic effects.
It’s all about faith. Whom do we love and fear more, God or man? Do we call God a liar or man a liar? As for me and my house...
And all that could also be speaking purely of the supernatural. A large measure of caution behooves good theologians.
“Do we call God a liar or man a liar?” ... Dude/dudette, your world must be a rather severe place, divided into either ors so dramatically! There are other ways of looking at the evidence we have before us, without calling God or man a liar.
I have a problem conceiving inflation/big bang and a limited universe...or at least a universe that is restricted to 13.8 billions years old. Too many astrophysicists have told me that when we look into space in ANY direction, we can see no more than 13.8 billion light years away, thus confirming the age.
Sorry, but if there was a bang and inflation, where is the empty center of the universe? If not empty, the stationary components in the center?
There is NO empirical evidence here...just theory...just like dark energy and dark matter. They say...we can’t see or detect dark energy, but it’s there.? Oh really?
How about being the scientists you say you are and saying simply... I don’t know...when in truth we really don’t have the scientific answer.
Ever read those three little words, “In the beginning”...?
Perceived by someone in a linear frame of mind.. might NOT..
consider a beginning is the ending of something ELSE...
-OR- as the prelude to a story.. or premise to a metaphor..
after all “A” Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is obviously a metaphor..
Bible Worshipers may take offense at attacking their GOD though..
If you worship the bible you have no real need of an actual GOD.... except as a figurehead..
making the Holy Spirit a gofer and/or “invisible friend”...
There seems to be a hidden malfeasance to being a “literalist”..
i.e. an evil heart of UNbelief.. you know... hidden
OK so the universe was contained in a grapefruit that was infitessimally small which would require infintessimally high gravity. It did not occupy space but space was in the grapefruit. Then somebody outside of space and time plugged in the compressor with infintessimal psi and inflated the grapefruit. And here we are
I only know one power with the ability to do that. I call that power God.
I understand what you’re saying, but the plain reading of Genesis 1 really leaves no room for doubt. When “yom” is used with an ordinal number, it always means a solar day. When “yom” is used with “evening and morning,” it always means a solar day. Both were used.
And this declaration that God CREATED is literally sprinkled throughout Scripture. It’s not only in Genesis. Just a couple of examples:
Jer 32:17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
All those passages would be nonsense if evolution had any relationship to reality. I choose to believe Scripture.
If you think about it, it’s God’s creation of us that gives Him the right to eternally reward us and eternally punish us. He owns us. That’s precisely what the Holy Spirit in Romans 9 declares as well.
Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
I don’t have any problem with microevolution, i.e., changes within species. There’s actual evidence for that. But there’s a reason for something called the LAW of Biogenesis being around. It’s called a LAW because it’s never been proven wrong. Life ALWAYS comes from life.
But that begs the evolutionary question. The thought that the most (stupendously complex) “simple” single-celled organism could spring to life when its chemical parts are mixed together is laughable. The “chance” production of a single protein has been compared to a solar system full of blind men all simultaneously solving the Rubik’s Cube. And that “simple” cell requires dozens. Now THAT’S misplaced “faith.” And there’s zero evidence of a fish “evolving” into a reptile, etc. There have been a lot of hoaxes foisted on the gullible by “true believers” in the evolutionary faith, but all were eventually exposed for the hoaxes they were.
I happen to have a cosmological paradigm which post5ulates the existence of a dimension as real as space or time which is the dimension of life force. And further, I believe there is a dimension of spirit essence. Consciousness is a reality and living things are conscious to some level of complexity. The most primitive life forms may be themselves responsible for their form and function, as reflection of their life force consciousness the way God created them to be, to exist, interacting with the most basic dimensional expressions of His Creation.
My cosmological model is, BTW, based upon what the Bible tells us and what devout Rabbis have offered, such as Nachmonides in his thirteenth century commentaries on Gensis, where he tells us that his reading of Genesis yields at least ten dimensions.
In his terminology the word dimensions might better be read as 'variable expressions, and we do not know how many actual dimensions God has created and will create, where I use the term 'dimensions' to mean the larger picture like space or time as dimensions having 'variable expressions' such as length or volume.
Having offered this 'other' cosmological paradigm at FR and been soundly ridiculed by the science fundamentalists/materialists, I will offer no more than this: I am currently generating the 'mathematical expressions' to illustrate the cosmology I envision.
