"I think in real life, separate from TWD, that episode had to have an impact on Tyreese and Carol........The only thing I can think of that came close to what was done was when Ol' Yeller had to be killed...." I agree. I think Melissa McBride even said something to that effect on Talking Dead last night. "Hard" is a word that doesn't even begin to describe it.
You know, upthread I said Carol was tough, but she isn't a robot. She does what she believes has to be done, but look at what she's been through. She not only lost her own daughter, she saw one of her "adopted" daughters murdered in cold blood, and shot the other one in the head. I wonder if she can bear all of this without crumbling.

I'm still marveling at the brilliance of last night's episode and the range of emotions it put its characters and the rest of us thru.
The night before, when we saw them gathered safe in the farmhouse, a kerosene lamp on the table, Tyreese asleep in the chair, Mika playing with her new doll on the floor, talk about maybe staying there for the duration (even tho we know that wouldn't happen) that was the closest they had come to safety and normalcy since the apocalypse.
Then the final scene when Carol and Tyreese were walking away was absolutely heart wrenching........

And as a side note, this is likely the only event that could have elicited Tyreese's forgiveness of Carol for having killed Karen and David..........Carol is carrying a horrendous burden now and Tyreese knows it.
Just Wow.........

I wonder if she can bear all of this without crumbling. My take of the scene were she pushes the pistol across the table ,she didn't want to shoot herself.
