He has been charged with sodomy which is undoubtedly a trumped up, false charge. SE Asian politicians are even much more corrupt than western ones and there are no holds barred in getting and keeping political power.

If Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah is a follower of a proponent of democracy, freedom, governance and the need for accountability I don’t see such a man finding high jacking a passenger jet full of civilians as furthering these ideals.
But he is a Muslim and that could change his ideals drastically.
