A Gathering of Eagles A newly-appointed Air Force base commander in the early 60's (Rock Hudson) must whip his unit into shape to pass a grueling inspection that his predecessor failed. Has an excellent scene where he and another actor are standing out next to a runway watching B-52's do MITO's (Minimum Interval Take-Off). They really WERE out there on the runway...not a green screen.
