What's your favorite movie about aviation?
one man's opinion...
Posted on 03/14/2014 6:13:28 AM PDT by ken5050
Aviation and movies pretty much got their start about the same time, and ever since, they've been making movies about the drama of flight. With the mystery of the lost Malaysia Airlines 777 dominating the news, (and no doubt there are already plans being made for a movie) I was wondering what movies about airplanes and flight are FReepers' favorites?

I refuse to participate in the discussion! We did it two weeks ago and it was great. Now we have people going on about “Always” - a movie I walked out of it was so dreadful. Bring back the original thread, somebody!!

Many things about me can be explained by the powerful imprint left on my 4 year old mind by the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I saw the movie only a few times, not the 2,000 times children today watch movies, but it echos today in my taste in women, hobbies, and flying machines.
