Details concerning the sudden, Saturday disappearance of Malaysian Airlines flight 370 continue to trickle in. Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, the head of Malaysia's Civil Aviation Authority, said the missing Boeing 777 carrying 227 passengers an "unprecedented mystery."
In short: We have no idea where the plane is, where the passengers are, or if they're even alive.

funsa
Moon Nazi’s, they hate the 777
Any chance the pilots were radical Muslims? Or a fake pilot allowed to ride in the jump seat as a favor?
What about the cell phones that are still ringing through? How weird is that?
The ones here on FR are either a very special kind of stupid or are aspiring comedians. Their questions, speculations, and inane comments are beyond belief. Expecting instant location of debris floating on a very big ocean, thinking that cell phone towers dot the world's oceans, wondering why a radio can't transmit under water, thinking that radar has an unlimited range unhindered by the curvature of the Earth.
Either the ignorance is profound or active little minds with nothing better to do are trying their hand at stand up comedy. I suspect the latter, but hoping it's the former.
The 9/11 terrorists turned off the transponders to the aircraft and I think thats what happened in this case, too. The plan3 is on the ground and theyre loading it up with a nuke device of some sort. That was the plan back in 2004-2005 and they might pull it off now.
Aluminum.
You are free to leave here at any time.
Have you seen the photo of the Italian guy?
ITALIANS OFF!
The center fuel tank exploded and the plane crashed into the ocean before they could make a distress call.
Spoilsport, let us have our FUN!!
What’s your theory?
And I'm free to stay and will. I don't want to leave FR to the nutcases. Unfortunately, running people off FR has become quite the sport and they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. I have noticed that the most active ones don't show up on Jim's list of donors, but I'm sure that they just don't want to advertise their monetary support of this forum (/Sarc)
Flight Radar Caught Changing Flight Path of Malaysia Flight 370 with two different flight radar tracks.
Two different locations of disappearance. The other involves a second (unidentified) plane craft which also disappears. He also mentions a sudden significant rise in altitude.
...could the second unidentified craft visible on radar be a missile?
It’s a big planet. Sometimes things just disappear.
Unless there is some new drone in service:
- drone range?
- departure point?
- what AA weapon?
- loitering in area or vectored after launch?
- Coordination, by whom?
- terminal guidance?
Would a composite materials aircraft blow up better? Do composites burn real good?
Irrelevant questions until the aforementioned are answered. Composite is destroyed by HE just like aluminum and they both sink.
Out of the many problems with this scenario besides the motive, is the complexity of the op. As to the motive, if the whereabouts are to remain mysterious, the shootdown should have been done in less trafficked and deeper water.
I’ve leaned toward this scenario from the gitgo. Co-pilot could turn off the transponder and never have to breach the door. I wonder what the optimum entry angle is to create the minimum debris field? He also could fully retard throttle on one engine, do an aileron roll into a half split-s until perpendicular to ocean and accelerate. Most have fallen out of their seats and those that haven’t are too disoriented to respond.
Yes, no if it remains intact. There are gaps in ICAO radar coverage in that part of the world.
LOL is this that Peterson bastard.
